Q: How do you organize your music collection for scalability?

I need to free up space on my hard drive, which means I will be burning a number of CDs. I stripped my caselogics and laid out my cd's alphabetically. I also separated the genres of jazz, classical, and world. Before I put these CDs back into their cases, I'd like to know how best to address the scalability issue.

Should I leave four or five empty slots at the end of each letter?

And what about genre? Should I create an R&B genre? Does Reggae go into World?

What are, in your opinion, the best practices for organizing your music collection?
