The Danglers
Way back in the college days, in Athens, Georgia - home of college radio - I was in a band. Being in a band has many advantages, mostly a good excuse to play loud music and carry yourself with an attitude. It also helps if you were a good band. While we never made it big in the local scene, (we hardly ever played out,) we enjoyed getting together and busting out some sweet grooves.
The Band consisted of many members, each playing around on various instruments. Every year or so we would switch up the name of the Band as we re-invented ourselves, playing the same old songs. Our greatest drawback was that we never acquired a full time vocalist...we did have Jarrett for a while on the pipes, but he eventually followed his artistic dream to California. besides, we all drank too much.
In any case, I ran some old band tapes through Apple's Garageband to try and balance them out some, and when I told the Reverand Lefty Dangler ( bass player) about this, he insisted that I post them to the blog so that he could relive some of the glory days as well. Hopefully, he will pass them onto Surefoot Dangler ( drums ) as well, since I haven't heard from him in many years.

So here you go - Moonshine Banjo Farmer Bill - as played live at Surefoot Dangler's Farmhouse , during a seven keg , three bonfire party night of debauchery. Also on the menu that evening were Sci Fu , the Possibilities, Cacklefruit, and OPM (Our Parents Mistakes).
I think it was my birthday or something.
Cheers!
- Meathook Dangler

You know I've been working on the same sorta thing. It's somewhat frustrating that you can't get the microphone hiss out of the quiet parts -- everything has to be full on in order to eliminate it without distorting the rest of the instruments.
I believe myself and some friends made it up to this party -- after you had finished playing -- and I think I actually embarrassed myself on the sax for a while.
I have that on tape somewhere as well...
